The farmhouse is located in the hills of the local community of Tronto (Comunità del Tronto), surrounded by extremely pleasant and rich landscapes, renown since antiquity: a priceless heritage called “Terre del Piceno” (Piceno’s lands)
Looking south-west from the farmhouse, one can see the Apennine Mountains, with the Gran Sasso and Maiella peaks, as well as the Sibillini Mountains westwards, where Monte Vettore is. From there, tens of hiking trails go all the way down to the Adriatic beaches, through mountain ridges such as Crinale dei Piceni. Here it is possible to observe an impressive geological phenomenon called “calanchi” (badlands), light-bluish clay formations characterised by scanty but beautiful vegetation, such as broom shrubs and tamarisk. The whole area is characterised by numerous natural reserve areas, woodlands, waterfalls and lakes, as well as by the wonderful cultivated hills on the ridge-slope towards the sea, with ancient cultivars of grapevines and olive trees. All this represents a unique tourist offer for those who want to enjoy authentic well-being in an enchanting, timeless landscape that will cast a spell on every visitor.
